Completely off grid, you will experience the bush at its utmost!
An easy 2h15min drive from Pretoria or Johannesburg and a perfect mid-week or weekend getaway – 45min drive from Sun City and the Pilanesberg Nature Reserve.

Activities
With over 1,000 hectares of pristine bushveld, you are able to hike, mountain bike, trail run, bird watch, or simply absorb the bush. With approximately 1,000 heads of varied game, you will enjoy a very memorable stay.
Well known for its clear skies - the star gazing is breath taking around the full moon period.
Game Drives
Drive along on our winding Self-Drive Route at your own pace or stop for a break and have a braai at the picnic site by the dam. The perfect time to jump into your car and view the game is around sunset.

Bird watching
Due to the topography of the farm, we are fortunate to have an abundance of bird life.
The North-West is probably one of the more accessible arid areas to bird in Southern Africa. This gives birders the unique opportunity to see many of the near-endemic species of Southern Africa.
The area is known to include: Pale Chanting Goshawk, Northern Black Korhaan, White-backed Mousebird (the family is endemic to Africa south of the Sahara), Southern Yellow-billed Hornbill, Crimson-breasted Shrike, Acacia Pied Barbet, Kalahari Scrub-Robin, Southern Pied Babbler, Orange River White-eye, Marico Flycatcher, Black-faced Waxbill, Red-headed Finch, Shaft-tailed Whydah, Barred Wren-warbler, Black-chested Prinia and a host of larks including Eastern Clapper, Fawn-coloured- and Spike-heeled Larks birds and our resident Fish Eagle.
Picnics & Nature Walks
There are easy walking paths to the dam (2km – 30min) or more challenging routes up the ridge and around the game farm (7km – 2hrs or more). For the adventurist there is a longer route around Rondekop with spectacular views (approximately 3.5 hours)
Guided walks can be arranged if booked in advance.
You will be accompanied by our professional game rangers, who will select the perfect spot for spreading the picnic blankets and luxurious cushions for you to spend a relaxing afternoon in the warm sunshine.
Mountain biking, Trail running
There are some challenging trails for both running or cycling to the more subdued routes for the novice. Sun-set game viewing from the mountain bike or walking is popular with the guests.
Note: Bring your own bikes and equipment (especially puncture repair kits)
Fishing & Canoeing
The dam is also available and ideal for fishing (bass, barbel, carp, and canoeing with a picnic and braai facility nearby. All fishing and canoeing equipment is not supplied, and life jackets must be used at all times when on the dam.
